Uganda's best parks
Uganda packs mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, the big game of the savanna and the source of the Nile into one country. Most of our trips combine two or three of these.

Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Drive south-west through the terraced hills, trek into Bwindi with a ranger team and spend an hour with a gorilla family. Permit, park fees and lodge included.

Set out from Kanyanchu in the morning with a ranger and follow a habituated chimpanzee community through the forest. Red colobus, mangabey and blue monkey along the same trails.

Who we are
A local team, not an agent abroad
Wild Africa Trails has been planning and running trips in Uganda since 2023. We are a Ugandan team, based in the country we guide in rather than booking it from somewhere else. Our guides work in English, Luganda, Swahili and French, along with most of Uganda's local languages - and where a group needs a language we don't cover, we bring in an interpreter.
We handle the parts that are awkward to arrange from abroad: gorilla and chimpanzee permits, park entry fees, transport in our own game drive vehicle, and your accommodation near the parks you are visiting. Send us your dates, your group size and what you would like to see, and you will get back a written itinerary with a clear price.

We book the beds too
Your accommodation is arranged as part of the trip, close to the parks you are visiting - lodges and bandas, mosquito nets up, a bed to come back to after an early start. Tell us the standard you want and we will match it to your budget.
